1. A Good GPA

The minimum GPA requirement for admission to MIT is 4.19. However, this is not a fixed point, as MIT might decide to change it in the next admission session.

2. High Test Scores

To stand a chance of getting admission to MIT, you will need to score an aggregate of 1543 and above for the SAT  and 35 for the ACT.

MIT needs you to sit for the ACT or SAT. This test is to evaluate your learning capacity and is also a factor in determining how fit you are to study at their facilities.

Do not waste time on making an impressive ACT writing section or optional essay for the SAT, as MIT does not regard any of these but focuses on scoring high.

3. Knowledge of General Application Information

First, you need to know the basic part of the whole application process and these are:

I). Gather information on issues such as application fees or available waivers as a starting point.

Beyond this, you should choose a course you are passionate about to study.

II). Put down the four activities that you find fun to hold off upon the MIT admissions office for the officers to listen to.
III). Brace for a series of statements that could make you write sentences of 200 words or above.
IV). Those students who were taught in, attended or lived in the US should submit the portion that entails written works to the university.
For important cases, if you are an international student, it is ruled that you have no need to hand in the certificates of your high school attended.

4. Valid Letters of Recommendation

To start and complete a successful application at MIT, you will need to provide two letters. These letters are:

I). A letter from your science or math teacher.

II). A letter from a teacher who taught you social science, humanities, or language subjects.

5. Get the February Updates and Notes Form

MIT creates the availability of this form on their application portal in the middle of January. Aspiring students should aim to complete it as soon as they can.

To complete the form accurately, you will need to get your official midyear grade report from your high school or college counselor.
